China's waterborne exports to the U.S. continues to outdistance its Asian neighbors as the trickle of manufacturers migrating to China from the rest of Asia intensifies. In 2000, China's 3 million TEUs of containerized exports to the U.S. were three times that of Hong Kong and easily surpassed those of Japan, Korea and Taiwan.

CD-ROM

PIERS data is available on a monthly CD-ROM known as Compact PIERS. Compact PIERS provides virtually instant data retreival by any word, phrase, code or combination. Powerful searching software included on the disc allows for printing and/or exporting of data.

Customers may also choose to receive PIERS profiles for an additional cost. PIERS Importer/Exporter Profiles show a summary of the most recent full year of activity for each shipper or consignee. Overseas Exporter Profiles summarize the most recent 12 months of overseas exporter activity. Profiles are updated monthly.

Direct On-Line Access

The PIERS2000 worldwide on-line system allows direct access to the most recent 24 months of U.S. export and import information. Subscribers can dial into this client server information system to construct their own reports, then print or download the results. PIERS2000 offers increased processing speed, new point and click wizards, illustrative charts and graphs, status monitoring and more. In addition, PIERS' team of experienced programmers can help you make the most of the data by providing technical assistance and training.
